Bouldin Acres - Menchaca

Bouldin Acres on Menchaca Road brings the same formula as the original South Lamar location to far South Austin: 2 outdoor pickleball courts attached to a full bar, a CM Smokehouse food truck, and a big open yard. Pickleball here is part of a night out rather than a training session — you book a half hour, play a few games, and then eat. The Menchaca location fills a real gap, since the 78748 corridor south of Slaughter had almost no paid court options before it opened.

Courts are customer-only and must be reserved online in advance, with bookings opening a week out. Pricing is time-of-day based: $10 per half hour on weekday afternoons (Mon-Thu, 11AM-6PM), and $20 per half hour evenings and all weekend. Paddle rental runs $2.50 if you show up empty-handed. Everyone checks in with a Game Host before stepping on court, athletic shoes are required, and players under 12 need a parent present. Worth knowing before you drive out: the courts are blocked Monday through Wednesday from 6-10PM for Austin Sports & Social Club leagues, which is prime evening time.

The venue itself runs 11AM to midnight every day and is genuinely family-friendly until 8PM, with a full playground on site — a real differentiator versus most bar-and-court venues in Austin. Dogs are welcome in the general area, though not on the courts. Between the shorter 30-minute booking blocks, the food truck, and the yard games, this works best for casual groups and mixed-skill crews rather than players hunting for extended competitive play.
