Little Zilker Park

Little Zilker Park occupies a prime spot on Barton Springs Road at the edge of the Zilker Park complex, one of Austin's most beloved green spaces. The 4 outdoor pickleball courts are free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, with no nets to haul in — permanent nets are in place. The combination of a great location and zero cost makes this one of the most visited free court spots on the south side.

The courts attract players from Bouldin Creek, Barton Hills, South Congress, and beyond — the central location and proximity to Barton Springs means a lot of people fold pickleball into a broader outdoor morning that might include a swim or a run on the trail. Expect the courts to be busy on weekend mornings, especially in spring and fall. Weekday afternoons are generally easier.

Restrooms and parking are available nearby within the Zilker complex. The park setting is hard to beat — massive trees, shade in the morning hours, and the general good energy of the Zilker area. A solid choice for casual play or for introducing newer players to the game in a relaxed, scenic environment.
